Tannic Acid derivatives

Tannins (commonly referred to as tannic acid) are water-soluble polyphenols present in many plant foods.

Tannins occur naturally in the roots, wood, bark, leaves and fruit of many plants. Tannin solutions are acid and have an astringent taste.

They are used in a variety of pharmaceutical and health care applications.
