The excellent embedding of non-leafing pigments in the matrix of the powder coating film improves the resistance of aluminium pigments to mechanical and chemical effects. Coatings containing non-leafing aluminium pigments lose much less metal to abrasion under mechanical stress, and are far more resistant to corrosive chemicals.
