Silicone Oil 50cst

BRB silicone oils are polydimethylsiloxanes available in different viscosities. They have applications as a release agent and anti-foam agent. Very small quantities of fluid are effective as a foam control agent, especially in non aqueous systems. Silicone oils are used in most automobile and furniture polishes for ease of application, high gloss with a minimum rubbing and durable water repellent film. Silicone oils are alternatives to hydrocarbon solvents for cleaning contaminated surfaces prior to painting or bonding. They are precision cleaning agents for aerospace guidance system components, and have applications for cleaning industrial optics and spectacle lenses. They dry to leave no residues or spots. Features of BRB Silicone oils include: little change in physical properties over a wide temperature range; fluids are thermally stable at 150°C for extended time intervals; excellent water repellency; low surface tension. The fluid readily wets clean surfaces to impart water repellency and release characteristics. They evaporate completely at room temperature and are compatible with most plastics and surface coatings. BRB Silicone Oils are available in a wide range of viscosities from 1.5cst to 60,000cst.
