Prickly Pear Seed Oil

Described as one of the best skin nourishing oils available, prickly pear seed oil contains a high concentration of tocopherol and essential fatty acids, making it an excellent moisturiser. The oil is extracted in a labour-intensive process which involves separating the seeds from the pulp. These are then dried before being cold pressed. Each seed contains just 5% of oil, so it takes around half a tonne of fruit to produce every litre of oil.
