Metalure

Metalure® is an ultra-brilliant aluminium pigment dispersion creating the highest level of reflectance in solvent-based paints, inks and coatings. In a special physical vapour deposition (PVD) process, extremely thin aluminium pigments, which are free of lubricants, are manufactured. These platelets have a uniform, smooth surface exhibiting perfect non-leafing properties that result in a mirror-like effect. This effect cannot be achieved by conventional metallic effect pigments. Metalure® dispersions are micro-mirrors of mysterious brilliance, able to simulate the reflectivity and flash of foils, hot foil stamping and vacuum metallising. Low pigment loadings and the absence of any surface lubricants help inks based on Metalure® dispersions achieve a high degree of film integrity, rub resistance and intercoat adhesion.
