LAPONITE-EP

Highly shear thinning layered silicate rheological additive with organic modification for extra performance in difficult-to-thicken water-borne systems. Used in surface coatings, household products and general and industrial applications. Recommended for systems containing higher levels of electrolyte. LAPONITE products are used to improve the performance and stability of a wide range of water-based formulated products. LAPONITE EP is a layered silicate manufactured from naturally occurring mineral sources with a proprietary organic modification. It is particularly effective in: formulations with highly acidic, or with highly alkaline pH levels; products with higher levels of dissolved salts; formulas that require spray-with-cling rheology; systems containing higher levels of water soluble organic solvents; stabilising suspensions of pigments and minerals. Used for imparting a shear sensitive structure to water based systems, including household and industrial surface coatings, household and I&I cleansers, ceramic glazes and agrochemical, oilfield and horticultural products.
