DISPERBYK-2080

Wetting and dispersing additive to stabilise titanium dioxide, inorganic pigments and ?llers in aqueous coating systems without negatively impacting the water, corrosion or stain resistance. Particularly recommended for use in aqueous anti-corrosive primers and direct-to-metal systems as well as aqueous wood and furniture coatings. DISPERBYK-2080 uses electrosteric stabilisation to deflocculate the pigments. The deflocculating property of the additive results in increased gloss and a reduced millbase viscosity. As a result of its hydrophobic nature, the additive minimises water absorption in the entire coating system, which has a positive effect on the corrosion and stain resistance. DISPERBYK-2080 is particularly suitable for use in aqueous anti-corrosive primers and direct-to-metal systems in which it positively influences the wet and dry adhesion. It is also recommended for aqueous wood and furniture coatings. Especially recommended for protective, wood and furniture, architectural and industrial coatings. Also suitable for automotive coatings.
