Cross-Cut Kit

To perform satisfactorily, coatings must adhere to the substrates on which they are applied. The cross cut test, also described as cross-hatch, uses a blade to cut through the coating to the substrate. At least two cuts are made intersecting at 90° to get a right angle lattice pattern. The cross-cut area is observed for adhesion failure.

Features include:

Blades made from hardened steel alloy for long life
Pivoting head blade holder for easy alignment onto coating surface
Multi-cut blade edges for long-term use
Blades compliant with ASTM D3359 and ISO 2409
Test kits include necessary accessories for cross-hatch test.
