Carbomer NF/USP

Carbomer is the trade name for polyacrylic acid. These are white, fluffy powders, frequently used as gels in a variety of personal care products and toothpastes.

Carbomers are popular thickening, dispersing, suspending and emulsifying agents in pharmaceuticals. They are generally used in gel-like formulations because they form a colloidal consistency when mixed with water.
