Effect finish appearance is influenced by different viewing angles and viewing conditions. BYK-Gardner’s byko-spectra effect light booth enables both parameters to be controlled to ensure objective evaluation of the total colour impression of effect finishes.

Features include:

• Colour evaluation under 6 defined viewing angles (-15° / 15° / 25° / 45° / 75° / 110°)
• Excellent agreement with BYK-mac i as the 45° illumination pivots together with the sample table.
• Sparkle evaluation under 15°, 45° and 75° direct illumination. Three individual LED sets simulate direct sunlight – lamp life guaranteed for 10 years
• No warm-up or flickering, which ensures quick and reliable judgements
• Timer to track daylight lamp usage and indicates when to replace the lamp
• Dimmable sparkle illumination to adjust for different sample lightness
