The concept of ‘better ageing’ is becoming increasingly embedded as a lifestyle choice within every age range. It incorporates physical and mental activity, food and nutrition as people take care of their minds and bodies in order to age beautifully.
Within the personal care market, one of the consequences of the trend is that young people are adopting routines that start good habits early, for example protecting youthful skin from harmful impacts of sun and pollution. More generally, there is a focus on supporting wellbeing alongside physical benefits.

Clotholine®: Extracted from cornflowers, this active is linked to wellbeing and skin longevity. It works through activating synthesis of Klotho, known as the youth hormone. A super ingredient with a range of benefits, Clotholine can be integrated into creams, masks and skin care products.
Millesis®: Inspired by nature, Millesis offers better ageing for the over-35s, reducing wrinkles and increasing the elasticity of the skin. Data from clinical studies point to benefits for post-menopausal skin. It is useful for facial care, eye contour and sunscreen products.
Collamung®: Derived from the mug bean, Collamung soothes and strengthens the skin, maintaining its water balance. It can be used in facial and body care products as well as sunscreens and make up.
NV Retinol: Retinol already has a reputation for skin rejuvenation. What’s special about NV Retinol is that it is encapsulated to prevent oxidation of the active and to provide sustained, controlled release into the skin.
Nano Hyaluronic Acid: Consisting of sodium hyaluronate encapsulated in biopolymer particles for slow-release delivery, this active can be incorporated into skin formulations, where it promotes wrinkle filling and skin hydration. It can also be used in hair products, for increased hydration and improved elasticity.
Nanovetor DMAE: This is a synthetic active based on nutritional substances found in fish. Encapsulation prevents release of odours and enables prolonged release, for as much as 12 hours after product application. The active has a firming, moisturisng action which improves the overall appearance of the skin.
