Once reserved for warehouses, multi-storey car parks and production sites, the use of liquid polymer coatings is gaining popularity in many commercial spaces, shopping centres and hospitals. Regulatory oversight has increased significantly at the same time. For this reason, the use of water-based and solvent-free systems is even more important. BYK additives for floor coatings simplify system handling and make it possible to obtain more reproducible results.
The purpose of this technical seminar is to provide the attendee with an introduction to understanding the selection criteria for identifying an additive solution when formulating performance floor coatings.
The background theory and mode of action of the additives are discussed. along with practical hints concerning product selection, dosage, incorporation, and testing.
All additive groups from the BYK portfolio will be discussed including wetting and dispersing additives, defoamers, rheology modifiers and surface additives.
There will be plenty of time for questions and answers during and at the end of each presentation.
The keynote presenters will be Markus Breuker, and Andrea Day from BYK.
The Seminar will be held on Wednesday 24th September at the Holiday Inn, Hinckley Road, Coventry. We plan to start with coffee at 8:30hrs for a 9:00hrs start and plan to finish by 14:00 hrs. A buffet lunch will be provided
