Citric Acid Anhydous, Monohydrate, In Solution.

Citric acid is a weak organic acid commonly used in the food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry. More than a million tons of citric acid are manufactured every year. It is used widely as an acidifier, as a flavouring and chelating agent. In its anhydrous state it is typically in powdered form which is white, odourless and has a strong acidic taste. The pharmaceutical industry mainly uses citric acid as a flavouring and stabilising agent in preparations. It is also used for the effervescent effect it produces when combined with bicarbonates in antacids and dentrifice products.
