Graham Turton became Managing Director of Blagden plc’s Chemical Manufacturing and Trading Divisions in 1994. He completed the acquisition and integration of Marlow Chemicals in 1996 and was a past Chairman of Corn Van Loocke NV. In 2000, he led the successful management buy out establishing Blagden Specialty Chemicals Ltd as a standalone business which continued the long association between the Blagden name and the chemicals industry.

Joe Brown started his career in the printing ink industry after studying at the London College of Printing. He then moved into pigment manufacture, working as Research and Development manager before crossing to technical sales in the coating industry, and from there to one of the world's largest resin manufacturers. He has wide experience in manufacturing and distribution and his technical knowledge and experience proves invaluable to Blagden and our customers.

John Webb started his career in the world of chemicals in the Applications Laboratory of a major manufacturer of resins, plasticisers, basic chemicals and pharmaceuticals with part-time study for ONC and HNC in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Among projects worked on were the polymerisation of THF to form PTMEG, a polyurethane precursor, and a bead polymerisation process for the production of Ketone resins which was patented. From this foundation, he moved into chemical and plastics distribution, gaining experience across a broad spectrum of industries including coatings, inks, plastics, personal care, lubricating oil and adhesives, combining technical and commercial functions. With many years at the interface between supplier and customer, John has a proven appreciation of the need for continuous development to meet changing technical, environmental, economic and legislative conditions.

A chartered accountant, Philip Poyner has more than 20 years of experience across a range of businesses and sectors including manufacturing and distribution. Giles joined the Board of Blagden Specialty Chemicals in 2015. He is an Associate advising on rural land matters at Cheffins, a market-leading firm of surveyors, valuers and land and property advisers with an international reputation for farm machinery auctions. A chartered surveyor, Giles is also a RICS registered valuer and a fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers, having previously studied at Leicester University and the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester.
