Explore our additives for metal-working fluids

13.Mar.2017

Our additives for metal-working fluids provide cost effective solutions for formulators. They can be used in oil, semi-synthetic and synthetic-based metal-working fluids.

They include the BlagSurf P range of phosphate esters, the BlagSurf EA and BlagSurf AL ranges of non-ionic surfactants, and the BlagSurf NC range of anionic carboxylate surfactants.

Phosphate Ester Range
The BlagSurf P products enhance extreme pressure protection and provide excellent anti-wear and anti-corrosion properties in stable products. Under the high temperature and pressure occurring at the boundary of lubrication, the phosphate ester breaks down to give a sacrificial coating of phosphorus that prevents excessive friction and wear, leading to better weld properties.

The choice of the best product to achieve this is key to a successful formulation. It will depend on compatibility, degree of lubricity, emulsification, dispersion, wetting, foaming and anti corrosion properties. We are happy to advise further based on customers’ specific requirements.

The BlagSurf P range can be used to optimise metal-working fluids for cutting, drawing, rolling, hydraulic and lubricating oils, and associated products.

Co-emulsifier range
To aid the formulation of stable products, we also provide a range of co-emulsifiers in the form of the BlagSurf EA, AL non-ionic surfactants, BlagSurf NC Anionic Surfactants and BlagEster ranges.
